Chris Evans still won't admit that Captain America is going to die in Avengers 4

Earlier this month, Chris Evans tweeted that he had finished his work filming Avengers 4, most likely bringing his time as Captain America in the MCU to an end. He noted that it was an “emotional day to say the least,” which would be an understandable reaction for a guy who was the heart of these massive movies for the last eight years, but the tone of his post also gave credence to the popular assumption that Cap’s going to die in Avengers 4. On Saturday, at the ACE Comic Con in Chicago, Evans addressed the rumor and tried to downplay any claims that he was foreshadowing Cap’s death, but we’re still not really buying it.

Here’s specifically what he said when asked if Captain America is going to die: “Regardless of how Avengers 4 ends, I would’ve tweeted the exact same thing.” In other words, him saying it was an emotional day has nothing to do with whether or not Cap’s going to die, it was just an emotional day because it was the end of his time playing this character and being in these movies. Of course, he didn’t say Captain America’s not going to die, so we’re still pretty sure it’s going to happen.

Obviously, the only way to stop us from continuing to assume this would be for Chris Evans to call us up and give us the scoop on some of our Avengers 4 questions, including (but not limited to) whether or not Cap’s going to die, what the movie’s real title is, and how we can beat Red Skull in the Captain America And The Avengers game for Super Nintendo
