Chris Hardwick to host NBC game show, will soon host everything

According to Deadline, super-host Chris Hardwick (@Midnight, Talking Dead, Talking Bad, Talking Sun) will soon be hosting a new NBC game show from LeBron James called The Wall. Now, rather than explaining the show, we’re just going to quote what Deadline says about it and then try to unpack what’s going on:

The 10-episode series will feature two-person teams related by family, friendship or life experience. They’ll compete for cash that can be won or lost in an instant, depending upon whether a ball bounces their way, or a trivia question is answered correctly.

For starters, at no point in that description does the word “wall” appear, which seems strange for a show called The Wall. Also, does this mean the teams are answering trivia questions while a ball bounces back-and-forth, and they can win money depending on how the ball bounces or how well they answer trivia questions? Because that doesn’t make any sense. Is the bouncing ball like a timer? Is it a basketball, and that’s why LeBron James is involved? Is this related to Pink Floyd at all? Are the trivia questions exclusively about balls or walls? The answer to all of these questions is presumably “yes.”
