Provided a more attractive script featuring an old-timey war scene set in slow-motion does not first catch his eye, Steven Spielberg's next film will be Robopocalypse, the most robo of all coming apocalypses. The Drew Goddard-scripted adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson's novel—in which the automated world turns on humanity, first by wiping out all extant copies of Maximum Overdrive so they'll never see it coming—already has Chris Hemsworth tentatively attached as one of the non-robots, and now The Hollywood Reporter passes along word that Anne Hathaway is also in talks to play another, allegedly non-robot. Making them shoo-ins for working with Spielberg, as stars of Thor and Dark Knight Rises, respectively, both have ample experience staring disbelievingly at something on the horizon.
