Chris Pine, Ben Foster, and Jeff Bridges to go on a crime spree in Comancheria
The Playlist reports that production has begun on director David Mackenzie’s (Starred Up) new film Comancheria, which stars Chris Pine, Ben Foster, and Jeff Bridges. Written by Sicario scribe Taylor Sheridan, the story is about two brothers facing foreclosure on their family’s West Texas farm. In order to remedy the situation, they of course team up to rob banks, because no one appreciates the drama of characters trying to get money by simply securing higher-paying jobs or going to a new tax accountant. Eventually, their crime spree pits them against two Texas Rangers, one of whom is likely portrayed by Bridges because he’s the only famous person not yet accounted for. The film, which probably doesn’t boast a happy ending for the brothers, is set for release in 2016.
