Chris Rock announces a big tour for 2017

Chris Rock is heading out on an extensive tour, he announced in a Facebook Live last night. This will mark Rock’s first time on the road in nine years. ”Haven’t done it in a while,” he said during the stream. “Been a little busy, you know, writing Pootie Tang 3 and everything.”

We knew a tour was on the horizon given the news that Rock recently scored a $40 million deal with Netflix for two specials, the first of which will apparently be filmed after he returns from his travels. Still, all of this indicates that Rock is focusing his efforts on stand-up in a big way, after some years of movie-making and Oscar hosting. Here’s the list of dates for the Total Blackout tour, via Rolling Stone.
