Christian Slater to distract from all the penises in Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac

While much of the advance reporting on Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac has focused on its unsimulated sex and its stars' penises, floppy and otherwise, Von Trier has now cast Christian Slater, whose starpower should definitely steal focus from all the hardcore pornography. Slater will appear in flashbacks during the two-part film, playing the father to Charlotte Gainsbourg's character in childhood as she develops the long-promised "erotic life" that, hopefully, will have little to nothing to do with her childhood or her father. On that note, the report doesn't specify whether Slater will be called upon to participate in all the unsimulated sex that everyone's fortunately been talking about instead of that whole "Nazi" thing. But really, who could focus on hardcore sex when Christian Slater is around, as anyone who's tried watching The Name Of The Rose in the last 20 years can attest?
