Chuck Lorre wants Julian Assange to hack Donald Trump

TV megaproducer Chuck Lorre—whose role as the co-creator of The Big Bang Theory grants him a permanent honorary position as king of the nerds and viceroy of the internet—has issued a challenge to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Lorre has demanded that Assange prove he’s not just a “hired gun” by directing his organization’s investigative efforts toward President-Elect Donald Trump, saying, “Belated congrats on your whole Mr. Robot thing. You promised to use the Internet to expose and bring down all the corrupt bastards ruining our world, and boy did you almost follow through. Julie baby! Boychick! The job’s only half-way done!”

Lorre wrote his open letter to Assange—in which he begs the prominent hacktivist to investigate “the tax returns, the outtakes, maybe even some freaky-deaky-golden-leaky beauty pageant video action”—in his post-credits vanity card for the most recent episode of Mom. Lorre’s actually been using the episode-ending credits on his shows as a blog for more than a decade now, hiding photos, letters, and general musings in them since the first episode of Dharma & Greg. (He’s collected the several hundred he’s written on his web site, for those in the mood to read.) In the meantime, Lorre finishes his letter to Assange by comparing him to Fidel Castro and Che Guevara before complimenting him on his “nouveau Morlock” hair, which is a pretty decent burn, even if it doesn’t seem like the best way to get the WikiLeaks leader to “stop stuffing your face with arroz con pollo and get to work.”
