The patron saint of anti-consumerist male angst, Tyler Durden, is back—but you probably already knew that, because Tyler Durden is you. (Woah.) Mashable reports that Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk is bringing back his intimidatingly virile creation in a short story in his new collection, Make Something Up: Stories You Can’t Unread. Called “Expedition,” the story is a prequel to Fight Club and promises to show “a side of Tyler Durden never before seen,” the side that likes to stay in and catch up on Nashville while drinking hot tea in footie pajamas maybe.
Make Something Up: Stories You Can’t Unread is available for pre-order now, and will be available on May 26. Alternately, Mashable is hosting the entire text of “Expedition” on its website, so you could also just read it there. That’s probably what Tyler Durden would do.
