Clark Duke may be one of the new regulars on that thing that used to be The Office

The reduced roles for both B.J. Novak and Rainn Wilson on the old spooky, abandoned ninth season of The Office will leave the holes of both an annoyingly youngish, Internet-addled guy and a slightly pie-faced dweeb. Now TV Line says that the show may well kill two roles with one actor: Producers are said to be in talks with Clark Duke, best known for his movie roles in Hot Tub Time Machine and Kick Ass, as well as his TV appearances on Greek and, most recently, New Girl. The details of Duke's character aren't known yet, though obviously Duke would be part of the "reboot" that will see an increased importance for newcomers like Catherine Tate and decreases for just about everyone and everything else you've come to associate with The Office, so honestly, it probably doesn’t matter. Let's just say he's a visiting space alien who's secretly here to turn Dunder Mifflin into the carbon mine that will sustain his race's invasion of the planet, because that might as well be the truth.
