Coachella will stay in Coachella after all

After a tense few days in which the music press world crowded to see Coachella's promised show-stopping exit from Indio, then was left standing around for what felt like ages while realizing they really had to pee and listening to a vodka-soaked girl scream for no good reason, festival organizers have gone and backed out of their threats to leave. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sam Torres, the city councilman who first suggested adding an additional five to 10-percent admission tax on large-scale events like Coachella, has put a stop to his initiative, saying he recognizes that the damage of losing the festival entirely would be much worse than any revenue generated by his proposal, because he can do math. "My sincere hope is that we can now move past this episode and I personally look forward to working to enhance relationships," Torres said, providing the world's first and only anticlimax at Coachella.
