Ever the crowd-pleaser, Tara Reid just wants to give the people what they want, even if what they want is a sequel to The Big Lebowski and it’s not actually happening. But that didn’t stop Reid from claiming in a recent interview that, along with American Pie 4 (which really is happening), she’d be starring in another Lebowski later this year, hoping to perhaps will it into existence simply by using the principles of The Secret. Sometimes it works. For example, it’s the reason I’ll be starring in a remake of American Gigolo soon, I hear.
Anyway, now that the idea for Big Lebowski 2 is out there in the universe, everyone’s really looking forward to seeing it come to fruition—not least the Coen Brothers themselves. “I’m glad she’s working on it,” Ethan told Austin 360’s Matthew Odam. “We’ll watch it when it comes out.” Joel added, “Especially if Tara’s in it.” Reid’s people have since clarified that she was only talking about a sequel because she’d heard that Jeff Bridges wanted to be in one and thus she “misspoke.” But maybe if you will it, dude, it is no dream.
