Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fleet Foxes, and R.E.M. featured on African-influenced charity album
Artists Project Earth, a charity focused on giving artists a framework to pursue their own causes, has announced Rhythms Del Mundo: Africa, the latest in a series of albums that see indigenous artists collaborating with their high-profile Western counterparts. Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fleet Foxes, Beyoncé, and Bruno Mars are just a few of those contributing. African musicians produced tunes in sessions in Kenya, South Africa, and Swaziland.
Rhythms Del Mundo: Africa comes out Nov. 20 and is a follow-up to similar releases in 2006, 2009, and 2011. Proceeds from sales go to combat the effects of climate change and drought throughout Africa. Check out the full tracklist below.
