Coldplay is planning to release a six-part comic series at Comic-Con this week, one that promises to further develop the narrative that inspired its 2011 concept album, Mylo Xyloto. The books tell the story of Mylo, "a young Silencer on the front lines of a war against sound and color in the world of Silencia." After some travails, "Mylo discovers that the enemy he’s been trained to hate his whole life might not be the enemy after all." The first issue will be made available at the fest, where there will also be a panel discussing the comic book’s creation. Afterwards there will be a limited supply sold through Coldplay’s website, with a wide release due in February 2013.
