Comedian Dave Hill has one of those vaguely familiar faces to TV watchers; maybe you recognize his hangdog expression from his small but recurring role as the Creep in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, or from when he popped up as the Bookstore Man in the “Tale From The Crypt” episode of The Tick. Hill hides his face behind a thick layer of Marilyn Manson-esque paint for his side project Witch Taint, the appropriately silly name for his black metal band, which started as a joke and led to real performances. Hill’s blithe humor is a good match for the project, and here he discusses the inherent funniness in taking things seriously. “Most black metal is unlistenable, to be honest,” he says. Watch the video to find out which black metal bands Hill actually likes.
