Comedy Central gives Natasha Leggero a series, a stand-up special, whatever else she desires
Comedy Central is very quickly becoming Natasha Leggero Central. The comedian has appeared on the network for both good (the network's new late-night show @midnight) and ill (the odious Brickleberry), and now it seems she'll be showing up there a lot more, as the network is developing both a new series produced by and starring Leggero, and a new stand-up special, with the latter shooting in April at Boston's Wilbur Theater.
Leggero's series, Another Period, will be a reality-show spoof following two socialites (Leggero and Garfunkel And Oates' Riki Lindhome) from a rich but useless family… in 1902. The show could be a Victorian-era Arrested Development—or a live-action Drawn Together—but the presence of Drunk History creator Jeremy Konner in the director's chair is at least a little reassuring.
