Comedy Central green-lights a Moshe Kasher talk show about internet anger

Comedy Central announced today it has given the go-ahead to a new show from Moshe Kasher, and, for better or worse, it sounds like a internet comment section and/or Twitter brought to life. Titled Problematic With Moshe Kasher, it will apparently “crawl into the social media muck and put out flame wars and raise provocative questions,” according to a press release. In a statement Kasher said: “This show will create a safe space for offensive comedy and more importantly engender conversations that will completely end all acrimony, racism, sexism, trolling and whatever else you find offensive online once and for all. I promise.”

The Problematic pilot was picked up in March; the weekly series will feature a studio audience and various guests, and is scheduled to start sometime in 2017. Kasher, who hosts the Hound Tall podcast, has recently appeared on the network’s Another Period, which was created by and stars his wife Natasha Leggero. He’s also reportedly working on a series about pot for Showtime that will be executive produced by the Russo brothers.
