Comedy Central renews Inside Amy Schumer
It appears being one of the most influential people in the world goes a long way toward getting your TV show renewed. Deadline reports that Comedy Central has already renewed Inside Amy Schumer for a fourth season in advance of the season three premiere tonight. The Koch brothers can only dream of possessing such all-encompassing influence.
It’s not surprising the channel would want to keep Schumer on its roster and happy. The comedian’s popularity has recently been—to use the scientific term—“through the fucking roof.” She hosted the MTV movie awards, her show just won a Peabody Award, and Trainwreck, the Judd Apatow-directed film she wrote and stars in, is coming out soon. Schumer made the announcement on The Late Show With David Letterman, where she also got to say the word vagina three times, quite the appropriate network TV move for someone who made it okay to say “pussy” on cable.
