Comedy Central renews The Other Two for a second season

Comedy Central’s new show The Other Two just premiered a few weeks ago, but what it lacks in age it more than makes up for in enjoyableness, with our own Erik Adams saying in his review that it’s “as good as a freshman TV comedy gets.” Positive buzz like that wasn’t lost on Comedy Central, apparently, as the network has already renewed The Other Two for a second season. That comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which says the show has been getting good ratings “by Comedy Central standards,” holding onto a “solid portion” of the audience from its lead-in (the outgoing Comedy Central mainstay Broad City).

The show stars Drew Tarver and Heléne Yorke as the elder siblings of a tween viral sensation, and both the main cast and showrunners/co-creators Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider are all expected to return. Of course, the first season just premiered, so far all we know there could be some shocking event later in the season that kills off most of the characters, but we won’t know about that for another few months.
