Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad cast already got its class picture taken, and although all the big names like Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Doctor Ropes (Adam Beach), and Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman) were all there, a couple of cast members missed out on the chance to do a dramatic/silly (dramatically silly?) pose. Like Common, for example. We knew he was going to be in the movie, but we didn’t know who he’d be playing, making his absence in the class picture all the more disappointing.
But now, thanks to the weird people who hang out on film sets in hopes of making a bunch of money with a photo of Common in his Suicide Squad costume, we now have a photo of Common in his Suicide Squad costume. Well, we don’t have it. TMZ has it. Go there to see it. Or, better yet, we’ll describe it to you: In the photo, Common is wearing leather pants, a weird jacket, a red goatee, a nose ring, some lip spikes, and, oh yeah, he’s covered in ugly tattoos. Apparently, “covered in ugly tattoos” is one of the main themes of Suicide Squad.
So, based on these images, who is Common playing? TMZ thinks it’s The Tattooed Man, a minor Green Lantern villain/sometimes reluctant good guy. That seems like a fine choice, but we have to know more about comic books than TMZ. Surely there’s some obscure DC character he could be that only we’d be smart enough to guess. Uhh, Batman? Maybe he’s Batman? Or, uhh…Wonder Woman? Alright, fine, he’s probably The Tattooed Man. TMZ figured out a comic book thing before we did.
