Community and Parks & Recreation get full-season pick-ups

After weeks of baffling news coming out of the NBC programming department, this afternoon the network did something that makes sense (or at least should make TV fans happy): they gave the fine Thursday sitcoms Community and Parks And Recreation full-season orders. Neither show has exactly been tearing it up in the ratings, but they've both stayed steady after an initial drop-off, and they've both been strong creatively, serving up reliable laughs as a lead-in the more prestigious Office/30 Rock hour. So it's good to know that there'll be some stability there.

Oh, and NBC also picked up Mercy for a full season. So there's one for you, Mercy fan.
