Conan and Leno to (hopefully) settle this once and for all at the Emmys

The question of who is more deserving of The Tonight Show is one we’ve clearly never spent dozens and dozens of articles pondering around here, but as it turns out, any hypothetical debating we might have done would have all been moot anyway. That’s because this year’s Emmys—thanks to a last-minute submission by O’Brien’s team—will see a face-off between The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien in the “best variety series” category, finally putting their longstanding feud to rest once and for all when both programs lose to the much more deserving The Daily Show or The Colbert Report. The “best variety” competition will also address the question, “Did Mo’Nique have a talk show?” The answer may surprise you.
