Congratulations: You’ve earned a 5-minute video of John Mulaney and Nick Kroll being funny together
You’re the big winner! Using a complex series of algorithms and convoluted calculations, we here at The A.V. Club have determined that you’ve worked very hard this week and are, in fact, in need of a break. So, we’ve procured this new video from Wired that features comedy phenoms John Mulaney and Nick Kroll ping-ponging riffs off one another for a full five minutes. Congratulations. You’ve earned it.
As with most of these “Web’s Most Asked Questions” videos, Mulaney and Kroll aren’t exactly digging into anything deep here. It turns out most people online just want to know where they went to college, whether or not they’re rich, and, in Mulaney’s case, whether or not he had anything to do with the death of Princess Diana. But these surface level inquires provide great jumping off points for some extreme silliness.
The little glimpses we do get into their personal lives provide some insight into why these two are so damn funny together. Mulaney and Kroll first met in college at Georgetown University where they started doing comedy and then eventually auditioned for SNL in the same year. Considering they’ve been writing partners and friends for so long, it’s no wonder why it sometimes seems like they’re riffing with the same mind. As the Big Mouth season two promotional train continues to chug along, we expect to see a lot more finely crafted viral content from these two. So, we hope you’re ready for more congratulations.
