Corin Tucker Band to release new album, kick off tour at A.V. Fest
Former Sleater-Kinney member and all around bad-ass Corin Tucker is releasing a new record with her cleverly named band, The Corin Tucker Band. Kill My Blues is due out Sept. 18 on Kill Rock Stars and is a follow up to 2010’s 1,000 Years. This new record is reportedly a more collaborative effort among the whole band, which includes members of Golden Bears, Unwound, and Stephen Malkmus And The Jicks.
The band will also tour the eastern half of the United States this September, kicking off at A.V. Fest Sept. 14-15. Dates for those shows are below.
Tickets for A.V. Fest are on sale now and run a mere $50 for a two-day pass. Other acts announced so far include Iron And Wine, Glen Hansard, Lee Fields And The Expressions, Waco Brothers With Paul Burch, and some acts from Redmoon Theater. More acts are still to come.
