Coroner: Warrant's Jani Lane died of alcohol poisoning

Back in August, Jani Lane of the late '80s/early '90s hair-metal band Warrant was found dead at an L.A.-area Comfort Inn motel. He was just 47. At the time the autopsy and toxicology test failed to indicate what killed him. But now a report by the Los Angeles County coroner's office has ruled that the cause of death was acute alcohol poisoning. Lane had been arrested twice for DUI in his final years, and eventually served time in jail. [Via Billboard]
