Crazy Ex-Girlfriend reunites with crazy, blackmailing ex-fake-boyfriend
Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Friday, February 9 and Saturday, February 10. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Friday, The CW, 8 p.m.): Several surprises arose during last week’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: There was a time jump, Home Base received some major renovations, and Nathaniel pledged himself to Rebecca—before she bailed on him. And then, in the preview for tonight’s episode: Trent! Trent? Yes! “Trent?!” An episode title, and a truly appropriate exclamation, as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend barrels toward its third-season end game with an assist from Paul Welsh’s smiling, turtlenecked blackmail artist, the depths of whose obsessions puts Rebecca’s to shame. Though, really, he’s the one who should be ashamed. Allison Shoemaker is still happy to see this goony weirdo anyhow.
Regular coverage
Jane The Virgin (Friday, The CW, 9 p.m.)
Wild card
Olympics 2018: Prime Time: Opening Ceremony (Friday, NBC, 8 p.m.): The competing nations gather in Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium, though the assembled athletes will probably be wishing they’re gathered around the Olympic flame. Don’t know if you’ve heard, but it’s cold over there.
