While some horror classics beg to be remade (read: trampled upon), the works of David Cronenberg do not. Early-ish in his career, he wrote and directed The Brood, a shockingly original film that it seems pointless to try and summarize here. So it's a little odd that the film is up for a remake, as is another Cronenberg classic, Scanners (as we previously reported). (Variety via Ain't It Cool).
