Cyanide & Happiness has a new show on YouTube

Following the success of its webcomic and occasional animated shorts, Cyanide & Happiness has debuted its animated show on YouTube. After a very successful Kickstarter campaign, the creators of the popular comic (Kris Wilson, Rob DenBleyker, Matt Melvin, Dave McElfatrick) have released a much longer show that’s essentially a collection of animated sketches with some recurring themes throughout. While it’s not the first time Cyanide & Happiness has appeared in animated form, the previous installments were always under five minutes long. This first episode runs for 11 minutes and includes anthropomorphic insects, a deep desire to be a cyborg warrior, shipwrecked magicians, and some other madcappery.

With the funding it received in that Kickstarter campaign, Cyanide & Happiness will produce 11 episodes. The creators said the goal of each episode “will be to extract the human excretion known as laughter from your face hole via fast-paced weird comedy.” The show can be a bit NSFW—there’s cursing, bloody violence, and an impressive amount of animated naked butts.
