Daily Show correspondent Jason Jones is headed for network television. Jones will star in Love Is Relative, a new comedy pilot for NBC. He’ll be TV married to Leslie Bibb in the pilot, which comes from Borat producer Dan Mazer. In the show, Jones and Bibb will cope with the arrival of Bibb’s newly divorced brother (Barry Rothbart), who moves in with the young couple. Jones stars as Nate, a dad and husband who becomes jealous of his brother-in-law’s carefree, couch-surfing life.
If Love Is Relative is picked up, Jones will leave his correspondent role on The Daily Show. He’s been on the show since 2005, and is real life married to fellow correspondent Samantha Bee.
