Damon Lindelof is writing a new "action-thriller" film with Carlton Cuse's son
Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse were the head writers and showrunners on Lost together, but now Lindelof is trading his old partner in for a newer and younger Cuse. According to Variety, he has just sold a script to Universal that he co-wrote with Nick Cuse, Carlton’s son and a former story editor and writer on The Leftovers. We know the project is an action-thriller called The Hunt and it’s being co-produced by Blumhouse, but all other details are being kept “under wraps.”
That means it’s up to us to make wild assumptions about the plot. Based on what little we know, we’re going to guess that it has to have some kind of mystery that may or may not fizzle out by the end, and it will probably involve a man teaming up with his old writing partner’s son. Maybe the eponymous hunt involves trying to capture and/or kill the old writing partner? Carlton Cuse’s Locke & Key adaptation is falling apart, though, so maybe they should lay off of him.
