Dan Aykroyd now pretty sure he's making another movie with Chevy Chase
As revealed last month, Dan Aykroyd doesn’t leave the RV for anything less than the money he deserves, nor will he work with anyone beyond the A-list that he fought and clawed and starred in Loose Cannons to get on. So now that his plans to reunite with Bill Murray on Ghostbusters 3 have been stymied by Murray’s complete and total indifference to the wishes of his close, personal friend, Aykroyd is looking ahead to another team-up with a former collaborator of his unique caliber by announcing that he is currently working on an unspecified project with Chevy Chase.
“Cannot say too much about the concept, but the joy of working with him again is one that I am extremely excited about,” Aykroyd wrote on his Facebook page, which he has. (It’s where he posts about stuff he’s proud of!) Aykroyd continues, “Chevy is one of my favourite [spelling is pretentious] people, and one of the great anarchistic and physically committed comedians in the business." Naturally the open-ended revelation has already caused many to speculate that the "concept" could be a Spies Like Us sequel, as Dan Aykroyd only makes that franchise money, son. Of course, given the self-delusion under which Aykroyd operates lately, it’s equally possible that he’s defiantly mounting a follow-up to Nothing But Trouble—a prospect alleviated somewhat by the fact that Dan Aykroyd says a lot of things these days.
