Like most of the world, directors Dan Madison Savage and Britt Poulton are huge Olivia Colman fans. So when they set out to produce their first feature, Them That Follow, Colman was at the top of their cast wish list. When we spoke with the young directors ahead of the film’s release, they shared the story of their auspicious first meeting with the (then) future Oscar winner, and told us about the time—and exhaustive research—that went into creating the world of their debut.
