Daniel Radcliffe to drag a corpse around in Swiss Army Man
Finally answering the question, “What if Cast Away’s Wilson had been a human corpse instead of a volleyball?”, Paul Dano, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Daniel Radcliffe have all signed on for parts in Swiss Army Man, a new film coming out of the Sundance Institute’s Feature Film Labs program. The movie centers on a man (Radcliffe, presumably) who befriends a corpse for companionship after being stranded in the wilderness, and decides to bring his new buddy with him when he makes the journey toward home.
The film comes from music video directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, who collectively go by the working name DANIELS. (It may or may not be a coincidence that that DANIELS previously made a Shins video featuring an animate, singing corpse; maybe they just like working with characters who can’t argue back.) There’s no word yet what roles Dano and Winstead will play in Swiss Army Man—Cadavers? Trees? Bemused love interests?—but the movie is set to start filming in July.
