Daniels not too hot on Guitar Hero

Charlie Daniels–Southern-rock legend, former Dylan/Cash/Cohen sideman, and the man behind "The Devil Went Down To Georgia"–doesn't seem like the kinda guy you want to piss off. Too late for the makers of Guitar Hero III: As reported by Paste, Daniels recently posted a blog on his website protesting the popular video game's use of his signature song. Daniel's beef with the game, in a nutshell, is its allegedly positive and triumphant portrayal of the devil. But what's also interesting is the fact that Daniels can't legally do anything about it, because he "lost the publishing rights on the song many years ago in a settlement with a former partner." Hmm… That wouldn't have been to a certain infernal gentleman in a fiddling contest, would it?
