Danny McBride gets weird e-mails from Marilyn Manson, plans Ewok-filled third season of Eastbound And Down

Marilyn Manson’s desire to worm his way into his favorite show Eastbound And Down has only intensified, with star Danny McBride telling MTV News that Manson regularly sends him “weird e-mails in the middle of the night of what he's watching on TV, and you can hear him giggling in the background. One time he literally sent me a Peanuts special I guess he was watching, sometimes it's Eastbound, infomercials, anything." Is there no end to Manson’s relentless campaign of shock and horror, no medium that won’t be bathed in his wrathful blood?

Even so, McBride refuses to be terrorized, no matter how many Charlie Brown cartoons Marilyn Manson sends him: McBride likens Manson appearing on the show to the time he got a job at an amusement park, which was “the quickest way to ruin all the magic.” Besides, McBride confirms that, should the show be renewed, he and co-creator Jody Hill already have plans for what would be the third and final season—plans that do not include an awkward Marilyn Manson cameo:

“In our wildest dreams, this was like a three-season show that arced over those three seasons, so we do have an idea of where to go: It's to an Ewok village, next season is Return Of The Jedi. There's all this parallel action between a space station and a planet with furry creatures, and I think people will like that. It's different from what we've been doing.”

Please let this be literal.
