Daredevil’s NYCC sizzle reel includes 30 seconds of new footage

Jessica Jones, Marvel’s second Netflix show, premieres in a few weeks, but that doesn’t mean we should forget about a certain blind lawyer with horns who kicked off the all-streaming corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe earlier this year. Daredevil’s first season was surprisingly good, and now that the show is adding iconic Marvel characters Elektra and The Punisher to the mix, the hype levels for the show’s second season are probably off the charts. That new season won’t hit Netflix until next year, but at New York Comic Con this weekend Marvel showed off a sizzle reel for season one that also included about 30 seconds of new footage. Most of it isn’t too shocking (Matt Murdock is still a bit mopey, Hell’s Kitchen still seems kinda shitty, and the actual Daredevil costume is probably still divisive), but there are some quick glimpses of exactly the characters everybody wants to see: Daredevil’s priest and some unnamed cops. Also, The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Elektra (Elodie Yung) show up, though you don’t get to see much of them.

Daredevil will premiere its second season on Netflix next year.
