Darren Aronofsky wants Christian Bale for his Noah's Ark film

Darren Aronofsky’s newly revived Noah’s Ark passion project will require lots of things to get made—approximately $130 million, lots of real and probably CGI animals, 300 cubits of publicists to address the concerns of church groups—but chief among them will be a name that the studios can sell. And because Kevin James is already in an animal movie, Vulture reports that Aronofsky is currently pursuing Christian Bale to take over the lead. Bale would not only be allowed to grow one of his famous lonely lighthouse keeper beards, he’d also get to transform himself into a 600-year-old man using one of his typically method preparations, like soaking himself in brine for six months.
