Chappelle’s deal with Netflix calls for three stand-up specials total, but his long-awaited return to the stage is being touted with the release of two specials on one night. On March 21, fans will be able to watch Dave Chappelle: Deep in the Heart of Texas, which was filmed at Austin City Limits Live in April 2015, and Dave Chappelle: The Age of Spin, which was shot in Los Angeles one year ago.
An earlier promo featured Chappelle looking pensive ahead of the premieres, but this new preview sees him back in high form, making cracking wise about all the developments and public figures who up until now had been spared his incisive commentary. Topping that list is table salt, which has proved ruinous for black men, Chappelle says.
