Dave Chappelle did a surprise set at Chance The Rapper’s Open Mike
Dave Chappelle’s comeback has been underway for some time, and has already seen him host Saturday Night Live and make a deal with Netflix for three new stand-up specials. But he still has time for the occasional surprise set, which he conferred upon unsuspecting teens in Chicago last night. On Monday, Chappelle dropped by Chance The Rapper’s Open Mike, a monthly event the Chicago artist coordinates to encourage kids to get up on stage and develop their budding talents. There’s some video of Chappelle’s set, in which he was asked about the immigration ban, because that’s just what we do these days.
Chance’s Open Mike saw even more celebrity guests last night, including Chicago Bull Jimmy Butler and the case of BET’s The New Edition Story.
