Dave Grohl fell off a stage in Sweden and broke his leg
Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl has apparently broken his leg after falling off the stage during a concert in Sweden Friday night. The incident occurred two songs into the band’s set at the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, with Grohl telling the crowd, “I think I broke my leg,” from the floor of the venue after the fall. The band continued to play while the singer and lead guitarist received medical attention, with Grohl eventually returning to the stage after roughly an hour, finishing the rest of the concert from a sitting position with his leg in a cast. The band’s official Twitter feed later released what appears to be an x-ray of Grohl’s fractured bone—making this a pretty big day for anyone who’s ever really wanted to see the inside of Dave Grohl’s leg.
The Foo Fighters also announced that they’ll be canceling two stops on their current European tour in response to the injury, with concerts scheduled for June 14 and 16 in the Netherlands and Switzerland getting the axe. There’s no word yet on whether the band’s show’s on June 19 and 20 at London’s Wembley Stadium are also getting cut, or if Grohl will “Learn To Fly” by then, and be able to “Walk” an “Everlong” time, despite his “Breakout.” Also: “In The Clear,” “I’ll Stick Around,” “Arlandria.” Thank you.
