David Attenborough turned Adele’s “Hello” into a nature documentary

Sir David Attenborough’s voice is majestic. That’s an indisputable fact. So, when he stopped by Radio 1 recently, host Greg James jumped at the chance to have the legendary English broadcaster read something memorable. With all of the hype surrounding the release of “Hello” by Adele, why not have Attenborough narrate a few scenes from the singer’s new music video? Yes, excellent idea.

Attenborough was clearly a bit hesitant at first. He asked, quite adorably, “Won’t Adele be cross with me?” But James retorted, “I think Adele would probably love this more than anything in the whole world.” And how could she not with such great observations as, “Look as the world’s most famous pop star zooms down a dirt track in an old Mini. Money certainly hasn’t changed her.” Attenborough also keenly pointed out (in a very modern way) the much-talked about flip phone seen in the video. Sadly, there was no mention of Lionel Richie, who is probably still waiting on the other line.
