We just recently learned that David Bowie would be releasing a new album, and now, we’ve got video evidence that the man is determined to steal Austin‘s slogan and keep himself weird. The song, titled “★” (pronounced “Blackstar”), is certainly Bowie-esque, with maybe a bit of St. Vincent influence. This trailer for the short film accompanying the track provides some artful imagery while evoking the unsettling, jittery vibe of the music. Directed by Johan Renck—a prominent music video director who also helmed the 2008 drama Downloading Nancy—the film is set to premiere Thursday, November 19 at 3:50 p.m. ET on Palladia, a music-related streaming site. Until then, just watch this, and think about jiggling shirtless men and sci-fi moonscapes, like you normally do when thinking about David Bowie.
