David Bowie’s final recordings to be released on the Lazarus cast album

Shortly after David Bowie’s death, reports started to come out about some posthumous releases that were in the works, including compilations and altogether unreleased tracks. Now, we know when and where we’ll get to hear at least some of those. According to Entertainment Weekly, the official cast recording for the Michael C. Hall-starring musical Lazarus—which features songs by Bowie and is based on the same novel as his 1976 film The Man Who Fell To Earth—will include three new songs recorded by Bowie with his Blackstar backing band.

The three songs (“No Plan,” “Killing A Little Time,” and “When I Met You”) were written for Lazarus and had previously only been performed by that show’s cast, so these new versions will be the first time people have heard them sung by Bowie himself. The three songs are also supposedly the last ones Bowie ever recorded, and the Lazarus album will be available on October 21.
