David E. Kelley's Wonder Woman is just a superpowered single gal trying to have it all

When it was announced that David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman had graduated to the pilot stage at NBC, we speculated that the show would find her balancing crime-fighting with the typical TV concerns of a single career-lady, reflecting on a day’s work and the mysteries of love to the gentle strains of adult-contemporary pop. As it turns out, we may not be far off: Bleeding Cool has obtained what it says is a draft of Kelley’s pilot script, and apparently this will indeed be a modern Wonder Woman, one who longs for ex-boyfriend Steve Trevor “like Carrie for Big” on Sex And The City, sings along to Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga songs on the radio, and binges on ice cream during pajama sleepovers with her best gal pal. At one point, Wonder Woman also has a fight scene set to Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies,” and a character says the phrase, “You go, girl.” But, you know, in a “serious, non-campy” way. On a positive note, she'll still have those bullet-deflecting bracelets, but of course, they'll just be one more wall she puts up to keep people from seeing the real her, you know? [via Vulture]
