David Gordon Green to direct Sandra Bullock in Our Brand Is Crisis

Last year Sandra Bullock was in talks to star as historical-figure-quotin’ “Calamity” Jane Bodine in Our Brand Is Crisis, a George Clooney-produced political dramedy that would reunite the Gravity dream team—though not on screen. Variety reports that not only is Bullock now officially on board, but David Gordon Green is also set to direct. The “strength of [Green’s] vision” is said to have been the deciding factor in Bullock joining the film, which she will also executive produce alongside Clooney. Based on the 2005 documentary of the same name, Our Brand Is Crisis shows the influence that James Carville’s political marketing firm had over the 2002 presidential elections in Bolivia.
