David Letterman and his glorious beard are coming to Netflix

He may be done with network television, but David Letterman is down with Netflix. In a press release, the streaming service has announced the impending debut of a new series from the late-night legend, which will cover Letterman’s two favorite things: “in-depth conversations with extraordinary people, and in-the-field segments expressing his curiosity and humor.” About the show, Letterman says, “I feel excited and lucky to be working on this project for Netflix. Here’s what I have learned, if you retire to spend more time with your family, check with your family first. Thanks for watching, drive safely.”

The show—which will consist of six hour-long episodes, each exploring a different topic through an in-depth interview followed by remote segments—doesn’t have a title yet, but is set to debut in 2018.
