David Letterman and his great big beard are coming back to Netflix pretty soon
At the end of last year, Netflix announced that David Letterman’s new talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction would be released at some point in 2019. Well, it is now some point in 2019, and Netflix has shared a proper premiere date for Letterman’s show: May 31. According to a press release, all six episodes of the new season will be available on the streaming service on that day, but in a cruel twist, we don’t know who any of the guests will be. Obviously they “need no introduction,” since that is the name of the show, but some introduction would be nice beyond the promise that Letterman finds them “extraordinary.” The first season, for those who don’t recall, had Barack Obama, JAY-Z, Malala Yosafzai, George Clooney, Tina Fey, and Howard Stern, all of whom are at least a little bit interesting.
Anyway, while we still don’t have a guest list, we do have a giant photo of David Letterman’s face. You can see it below, and make sure to save it to your phone and use it as a wallpaper.
