The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that David Letterman has re-upped his contract with CBS through the 2009-10 season. So nevermind those rumors of retirement or long-ago threats to jump ship. Interestingly, this will put Letterman's The Late Show in competition with the Conan O'Brien-helmed The Tonight Show. Will the clash be as interesting without Letterman's thinly veiled contempt for Leno?
