David Spade getting owned by a teen on Instagram is an embarrassing enough headline, but it is worse when the teen in question is none other than Danielle Bregoli, the “cash me outside, howbow dah” girl who has owned her own virality and turned it into a thriving business.
Spade must’ve thought she was a huge Joe Dirt fan because, after a chance meeting, he took to Instagram to express both surprise and offense at her lukewarm attitude to their encounter. “Unfortunately,” Spade quips, “she stopped being famous 5 minutes before this was taken.”
Seems a touch unnecessary for a grown-ass man to take a swipe at a 13-year-old girl, but this is David Spade we’re talking about. Bregoli’s response is succinct and, in a manner befitting that of someone born post-Tommy Boy, hilariously dismissive.
Hopefully this is the end of this “feud,” as an Instagram battle between a fiftysomething and a 13-year-old isn’t something we should be hoping to prolong.
