Yesterday, fashion designer Kate Spade was found dead from an apparent suicide. Her family has released a statement saying they are “devastated” by her death, adding that they “loved Kate dearly and will miss her terribly.” Her death seems to have been particularly hard on her brother-in-law, actor David Spade, who expressed his grief on social media with a pair of photos of him and Kate Spade. On Twitter (via Vulture), he shared a photo of her stopping to see him at a book signing, saying that he loved the photo and that he thinks not enough people knew how funny she was:
Spade shared a similar sentiment with a different photo on Instagram, noting in both posts that it’s a “rough world” and that anyone suffering should “try to hang on.”
