Deadpool’s X-Men sidekicks will be in the sequel
Because not everyone finds unrelenting snark appealing, Deadpool’s two unamused sidekicks will show up in the sequel. Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick explained in an interview with Collider that Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) are coming back, though remained coy about the extent of their parts. Wernick said: ”They’ll make at least an appearance.”
Deadpool 2 is set to be directed by David Leitch, taking over for Tim Miller who left the project over “creative differences” with star Ryan Reynolds. While it remains to be seen whether or not the switch in helmers will amount to a drastic change in tone or style, at least some supporting characters will be consistent. Meanwhile, rumors continue to fly as fast as as the first movie’s quips about who will play villain Cable. The latest, via Screen Rant, pegs Pierce Brosnan, but only because he appeared in a photo with Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
